Looking for essential Martial Arts equipment and supplies? You will need to have equipment that is designed for Martial Arts sparring and equipment that is designed for actual Martial Arts matches. Due to the nature of Martial Arts, protective gear should always be at the top of the list of essential Martial Arts equipment and supplies.

  1. Protective Gear. It is a must that you wear protective gear during a Martial Arts match. You should look for protective head gear that is specifically designed for Martial Arts. Martial Arts head gear will provide a thick layer of foam around your entire head, which will help absorb any kicks that you may suffer. You should also purchase a clear face shield. A Martial Arts clear face shield will not reduce your vision, but it will prevent you from being kicked directly in your face. Another piece of essential Martial Arts protective equipment is a mouth guard. A mouth guard will ensure that your teeth suffer no damage during a Martial Arts sparring match.
  2. Kicking Bags. An essential piece of Martial Arts training equipment is a kicking bag. Kicking bags, which are typically hung from the ceiling, are made out of a durable fabric and have a leather kicking area. When you are purchasing a kicking bag for Martial Arts, you may want to look for one that allows you to remove the stuffing from the inside of the bag. By being able to remove the stuffing, you will be able to control the density of the kicking bag in accordance with your Martial Arts skills.
  3. Kicking Pads. Kicking pads are typically used for training only, but may be allowed in some Martial Arts sparring matches. There are kicking pads that cover the abdominal area and kicking pads that cover the arms. In most cases, your Martial Arts trainer would wear the kicking pads so that you can gain experience with kicking an actual person. Kicking pads are packed with high density foam, which prevents your trainer from being injured.
