JoMarie Payton Noble - Noble, who the show was originally based around, played mother Harriet Winslow for eight years before leaving the cast in 1997. She has made guest appearances on the television shows “Will and Grace” and “Seventh Heaven” and recorded a jazz album.
Kellie Shanygne Williams - Since playing the role of eldest daughter Laura Winslow, Kellie Shanygne Williams went on to major in Psychology at UCLA. She later appeared on the shows “The Parkers”, “Moesha” and “Eve”. Williams began co-hosting the television show “Clean House” in 2009.
Rosetta LeNoire - As a member of the “Family Matters” cast, LeNoire played Carl’s feisty mother, Estelle Winslow. Prior to joining the cast, LeNoire founded the New York City AMAS Repertory Theatre Company. She died at a retirement home in 2002.
Jaleel White - One of the later additions to the cast of “Family Matters”, Jaleel White practically stole the show playing next-door neighbor Steve Urkel. White graduated from UCLA in 2001 as a film major and has since appeared in the movie “Dreamgirls” and the television show “Psych”.
Darius McCrary - Darius McCrary played the role of big brother Eddie Winslow on “Family Matters”. He has appeared in several movies since the show ended, including “Fifteen Minutes” with Robert DeNiro and “Saw VI”. He famously dated video vixen Karrine Steffans before breaking up publicly following an assault allegation.
Jaimee Foxworth - Foxworth, who played little sister Judy Winslow on the series, was dropped from the show after the fourth season. After her sudden departure from “Family Matters”, Foxworth formed a girl group called “S.H.E.” and later acted in several adult films. In 2009, she appeared on the reality show “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew”.
Telma Hopkins - Telma Hopkins played the family aunt, Rachel Crawford, for the first four seasons of “Famiy Matters” before leaving the cast to star in her own sitcom “Getting By”. She later appeared as a regular on the sitcom “Half and Half” and also had a role in the movie “The Love Guru”.
Bryton McClure - McClure joined the cast of “Family Matters” at the young age of three as nephew Richie. He currently appears on the daytime soap opera “The Young and the Restless” and has won an Emmy and an NAACP Image Award for his portrayal of Devon Hamilton.
Michelle Thomas - Thomas joined the cast of “Family Matters” later in the series as Myra, Steve Urkel’s possessive girlfriend. She had previously appeared on “The Cosby Show” and “The Young and the Restless”. Thomas died suddenly of stomach cancer in 1998, the last year “Family Matters” was on the air.
