If you want a greater PC gaming experience, be sure to try out some of these "Far Cry 1" mods! The following "Far Cry 1" mods are some of the best work the fan community has ever created. Whether they expand the game mythos, give you a chance to try something different, or just update current game mechanics, the following "Far Cry 1" mods are sure to not disappoint.

  1. SturmMod. While this plays a bit more like a movie than a shooter, this is still one of the most ambitious "Far Cry 1" mods we've seen to date. This takes the player on a trip through the locations described in William Shakespeare's "The Tempest" using the "Far Cry 1" engine! Started as a media arts production from German university students, this takes the idea of a "Far Cry 1" mod to a whole new level.
  2. Project "Far Cry." This is one of the many "Far Cry 1" mods that expands the story of the original game, but we feel that it does this the best. This takes Jack, the protagonist from "Far Cry 1," and gives him the mutant powers he acquired in "Far Cry Instincts," but puts them in new levels, with unique weapons and enemies. For those who want a brand-new "Far Cry 1" experience with explosive new gameplay, try out this awesome mod.
  3. Tuesday and Ark. Now for one of the oddest "Far Cry 1" mods on our list, this takes the formula of an anime-style dating simulator and brings it to the "Far Cry 1" engine. This mod is not bad by any stretch of the imagination; in fact, we feel that it's one of the best and most unique "Far Cry 1" mods out there. You play a boy named Tuesday who fancies a girl and must use the environment to win her affections.

These are just some of the better "Far Cry 1" mods out there. The fan community and the ease of use of the "Far Cry 1" engine have flooded the Internet with many "Far Cry 1" mods, so it might be difficult to choose the best one. We feel that these three take some of the best features of "Far Cry 1" and enhance them for almost every single player to enjoy.
