Some great ideas for partners include co-workers, family members, spouses, kids, or even a stranger. If you’re having trouble finding someone to fish with, consider consulting fishing-related message boards to find someone in your area who shares your interests in fishing.
3. Common sense. Finally, the best way to stay safe on the water this fishing season is to use common sense. This includes, but isn’t limited to, the following: fish areas that you’re familiar with while avoiding fishing unfamiliar areas after dark, do not bring alcohol on the boat with you, bring plenty to eat and drink, and follow safety regulations for the water(s) in which you’re fishing. Using common sense is likely the most important rule to follow when it comes to being safe on the water. Many anglers unfortunately die every year due to a foolish decision.
