Requirements for first-time Florida driver's license. If you are getting your first driver's license (in any state), you will need two forms of identification, proof of date and birth, proof of residential address, and proof of social security number. Note that if you are not a US citizen, you will need proof of your legal address. Proof of completion of a traffic law and substance abuse course is also required - and you will need to take further tests to receive the license (vision, hearing, road rules, road sign, driving). If you want a learner's license, a parental consent form is also required.

Requirements for a Florida driver's license for individuals from another state/country. If you are from another state or country and want to get a Florida driver's license, you can go to their GatherGoGet (see references) website to see the exact documents you will need. It will create a personal checklist for you, as the requirements will be dependent on your situation (i.e. if you are from California or Canada).

Age requirements for a Florida driver's license. In Florida, you may receive a learner's license at the age of sixteen. A restricted license is set at the age of seventeen, which includes specific clauses on times and passengers for the driver. Finally, in Florida, an individual at the age of eighteen may receive a full, unrestricted driver's license (these figures vary by state).
