There are various types of foods to eat to lose belly fat that are both nutritious and taste good. Eating certain types of foods that target different areas keep the body running efficiently promoting weight loss and belly fat to dissipate. The types of foods to eat to lose belly fat are more of a way of life eating to ensure the weight doesn’t come back.

  1. Essential fatty acids. Essential fatty acids such as fish oil help keep your hormonal levels and cholesterol levels in normal functioning ranges.
  2. Complex carbohydrates. Complex carbohydrates are known as the simple carbohydrates because of their ability to be digested quickly. Simple carbohydrates are individual’s sugars such as fructose, glucose and monosaccharides.  These types of sugars are digested easily due to the ability of the digestive enzymes being able to break down the smaller molecules. Examples of complex carbohydrates are beans, vegetables, and whole grains.
  3. Low fat foods. Low fat foods also help shrink belly fat but must still be eaten in moderation. Weight is not gained from fat’s alone this is why you must follow the instructions on the package on eat only the portioned serving size. Types of low fats foods range from all types of products on the markets, such as low fat breads, cereals, and milks.
  4. Fruits and vegetables. It’s very important to add high fiber fruits and vegetables to your lose belly fat diet. High fiber fruits and vegetables will keep you feeling full for much longer, this is due to the fact the digestive system takes longer to break down these bulk type foods. Examples of high fiber fruits and vegetables are raspberries, pears, apples, artichokes, peas and broccoli.
  5. Eating balanced meals.  Make sure your meals are balanced with all the proper servings from the food pyramid. Eat heavier foods during the earliest parts of the day so your body will have longer to digest them. Eating heavier foods while in a resting state cause the body to work slower to digest these items and your body does not burn off the calories promoting weight gain instead of weight loss. Eating well balanced meals through out the day will promote belly fat loss.
