Freestyle Motocross Tricks For Beginners

If you are a beginner at freestyle motocross, then you should know some freestyle motocross tricks for beginners. These tricks are any new rider to the motocross world can pull off, but don’t get complacent! Keep in mind you are still riding a motocross bike so remember to wear your helmet and all other safety pads before doing any of these beginner freestyle motocross tricks for beginners.

  1. No Hands! This freestyle motocross trick is perfect for beginners because it simply involves you getting some air with a proper jump, and then dropping until you almost hit the ground with your hands up in the air, only placing them back on the handlebars when you are about to hit the ground. Keep in mind that this beginner motocross trick is great for a little bit of personal showboating while you’re up in the air so have fun with the no hands!
  2. The Back Flip. The back flip is a universal trick in that it is not only a freestyle motocross trick that is great for beginners, but is also a trick that many other sports use such as gymnastics, diving, and freestyle skiing. To properly pull of this freestyle motocross trick, you need to get some big air off a jump. Once you feel comfortable enough with the amount of air you got, lean back and pull your bike back with you by the handlebars. Continue to do so until you have done a full 360 degree turn. If you made sure to get high enough of the jump, you should be able to pull this trick of quite easily.
  3. The Wheelie. The final beginner freestyle motocross trick that everyone should know is the wheelie. To do it you simple pull the front of you bike up and just move on your back wheel. The way to use this freestyle motocross trick the best is to get a good amount of speed then pull of the trick. Moving fast while doing this beginning motocross trick will make it look cooler all around! Also, try and link this with a few tricks by pulling it up immediately after you land a big jump that you did one of your other beginner freestyle motocross tricks in!
