If you are serious about becoming a professional scuba diver, you should get PADI rescue diver certification. This involves a rescue diver course that takes you to a more exciting level of professional diving and trains you to save a life as well. As a PADI rescue diver,  you will be able to respond to diving emergencies more efficiently.

  1. PADI rescue diver certification allows you to become a more responsible diver. The training goes beyond learning scuba diving for fun and excitement only. Divers who are PADI certified are more confident divers and learn how to save a life as well. It makes scuba diving a more rewarding experience.
  2. Your PADI rescue diver certification vouches for your ability to respond on diving rescue scenario and emergencies. You will learn how to administer rescue breaths in and out of the water, transporting divers suffering from decompression sickness, rescuing unconscious divers and responding to emergencies.
  3. Look for a rescue diver course. There are many courses offered that will give you the opportunity to train to become a PADI rescue diver. Take note that this course is quite different from the usual diving courses offered. The training involves rescue diving, giving medical aid or first aid rescue, panic diver response, search techniques for missing divers and many others. You can look for any local diving shops that are PADI accredited that offer rescue diving course. There are many scuba diving courses online that are PADI accredited and you can book your training with them. Scuba diving courses online that offer a PADI rescue diver certification provide specific information about the training included in their courses and fees.
  4. There are prerequisites before you become a PADI rescue diver certified. Those admitted with the course and training should be over 12 years of age (others require the age of over 15) and must have completed a PADI advance course or its equivalent. It is also important that you are already a trained scuba diver of course. You will also be required to produce a certification of having completed training on an emergency first responder course or in lieu of this, a certificate of completing CPR training within the last two years may suffice to be able to get a PADI rescue diver certification.
