Anyone just picking up a new Xbox 360 will want to know some good xbox 360 games. The Xbox 360 has a ton of different types of games, ranging from first-person shooters to garden simulators. There is a good game for pretty much every genre available. These good Xbox 360 games should be checked out by anyone who enjoys games.

  1. "Call of Duty: Black Ops." "Black Ops" is pretty much the go-to good multiplayer Xbox 360 game. The single player is a bit mediocre; you play through the memories of an interrogated soldier in order to stop the bad guys. The story sucks, but you might as well play through single player anyways. This game shines in multiplayer. Featuring a level up system with perks and a ton of unlockable weapons, this game is a very good Xbox 360 game for those wanting to play multiplayer.
  2. "Gears of War." "Gears of War" follows a group of marines through their war-torn homeworld on an attempt to stop the invading locust forces. This good Xbox 360 game pretty much popularized the cover-based third-person shooter gameplay. You pretty much move from cover to cover, mowing through tons of enemies. It adds a nice tactical flair to the gameplay. It even features split-screen co-op, which pretty much makes any game better by default. Another good Xbox 360 game in the same vain would be "Gears of War 2." Both are worth checking out.
  3. "Bioshock." "Bioshock" is a rather unique Xbox 360 game. While it is still a first-person shooter, it has a decent amount of RPG elements and weapon customization. It follows the main character, the sole survivor of a plane crash in the ocean, through an underwater city. The setting and atmosphere of this Xbox 360 game make it stand out. The characters and story are extremely well written up until the second half of the game. Although it falls apart towards the end, "Bioshock" is still a very good Xbox 360 game.
