Great American Beer Festival

Every American knows that there are few things in life more gratifying than beer, so here you'll get to learn about the greatest beer celebration in America, The Great American Beer Festival. Fans of beer from within American and overseas come to sample the best brewers have to offer.

The Great American Beer Festival, also known as the GABF, takes place in Denver, Colorado each year. The festival lasts from November 16th to the 18th, three days, no more no less. People from all around the world come to Denver to sample some of the best beer that American breweries have to offer. Also, there are around 1200 foreign beers ready to sample. Over 500 breweries compete in this festival. Over 100 beer judges will reward medals for each of the 78 different styles of beer available, bronze, silver, and gold. There are over 2000 different kinds of American beers presented in this festival, like in 2009, with brewers ready to have their wares sampled by judges and simple fans alike.

The GABF was created in Boulder, Colorado by Charlie Papizan. Over the years, the participants have steadily grown for the GABF. Only 47 breweries were in attendance in the first festival, and since 2009, there were around five hundred. In the same year, about 50,000 people attended the festival, the largest number in history.
