H1N1 vaccine dangers do exist, so so be sure to consider the risks and benefits before receiving the H1N1 flu vaccine. Of course, the thought of contracting the H1N1 virus is frightening, but the dangers associated with vaccine is also something to be concerned about.

Allergic Reactions. One of the dangers of the H1N1 vaccine is that it could trigger serious allergic reactions in some individuals, even people who do not have allergies. In addition, people who are sensitive to eggs should avoid the H1N1 vaccine altogether because it contains egg components in the ingredients.

Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS). There is a danger of getting Guillain-Barre Syndrome as a result of receiving the H1N1 flu vaccine. GBS is a serious neurological reaction that can cause paralysis; this could affect a person's ability to breathe which would require the use of a respirator. In many cases, the paralysis is not permanent, but why take such a risk?

Insufficient Testing of H1N1 Vaccine. The H1N1 vaccine poses a danger because of the insufficient testing process. In a rush to get the H1N1 vaccines on the market, testing was conducted for only a few weeks. This is not enough time to determine the safety hazards of the vaccine, and this could put your health in danger. If the H1N1 vaccine results in serious harm or death, the government has agreed not to hold vaccine manufacturers liable.

Toxic and Harmful Ingredients. Another danger of the H1N1 Vaccine is that it contains ingredients that are toxic and harmful. It contains both formaldyhye, which is a known toxin, and thiomersal, a mercury derivative associated with triggering autism in some children. Both of these substances present a danger, especially to young children.

Carefully evaluate the H1N1 dangers before getting your flu shot this year. Sometimes the cure is actually worse than the disease.
