Fish Tacos Recipe for Weight Loss
Ingredients:
- 1/2 pound fish filets
- 1 cucumber, cut into long strips
- Small handful coriander leaves, chopped
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- Salt and pepper
- 2 whole wheat flour tortillas
- Non-stick spray
Directions:
- Take the fish filets and season them with some salt and pepper. Spray a skillet with some non-stick spray and when the skillet is very hot fry the fish filets.
- Add the soy sauce to the tops of the fish while grilling. When the fish is nice and crispy, remove from the skillet.
- Take the mayonnaise and add in the paprika and the lemon juice. Spread half of the mayonnaise on one taco.
- On top of the mayo put one chopped green onion. Then add half of the cucumber strips and the coriander leaves.
- Now lay the grilled fish on top of the veggies. Roll up the tortilla like a burrito and enjoy this very delicious healthy recipe for weight loss.
Tomato and Cucumber Salad Recipe for Weight Loss
Ingredients:
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 1 large cucumber, chopped
- 1 green onion, chopped
- 1 small handful of mint leaves, chopped
- Salt and pepper
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- Virgin olive oil
Directions:
- Place the tomato, cucumber and onion in a mixing bowl. Season the salad with salt and pepper.
- Add in the lemon juice and spritz with some olive oil. Top with some mint leaves for a garnish.
- This very easy healthy recipe can be served alongside the fish taco above. For an alternative you can add some Dijon mustard to the olive oil before spritzing the salad.
Easy Baked Chicken Recipe for Weight Loss
Ingredients:
- 1 chicken, whole
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- Salt and pepper
Directions:
- Wash the chicken inside and out. Pat the chicken with a paper towel to remove some of the moisture.
- Brush the inside and out of the chicken with the melted butter. Season the chicken with the salt and pepper.
- Place the chicken on a baking dish and add in 1/4 cup of water. Bake the chicken in a preheated hot 375 degree oven for one hour.
- When the chicken is brown all over and crispy looking, remove from the oven. Allow this very healthy chicken to rest for 15 minutes before cutting or slicing.
- Any healthy recipe for weight loss must be low in fat. If desired you may use some virgin olive oil instead of the butter.
Cauliflower Mashed Potatoes Recipe for Weight Loss
Ingredients:
- 1 medium head cauliflower, chopped
- 1 medium size onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 ounce goat cheese, soaked prior to remove the salt
- Salt and pepper
- 1/8 cup low fat milk
- Dash of paprika
- Non-stick cooking spray
Directions:
- Place the cauliflower, onion and garlic in a medium size pot. Add enough water to cover by two inches.
- Bring to boil and boil till the cauliflower is tender. Drain the water off the cauliflower.
- With a hand mixer or a potato masher, mash the cauliflower. Add in the goat cheese that has been shredded.
- Add in the salt, pepper and milk. Beat on low speed until you have everything mixed.
- Using some non-stick spray, coat a baking dish. Add in the mashed cauliflower and top with some paprika.
- Bake in a hot 400 degree oven until bubbly. This very delicious healthy recipe for weight loss can be served with the baked chicken and the salad.
