Here are 5 ways to improve heart health. Most of our diets are filled with fat and cholesterol, and many of us don’t exercise.  Risk factors like these contribute to the frequency of heart disease in our society. Symptoms of heart disease aren't always readily apparent physical signs that give direct warning. Heart attacks often take people by surprise. There are many ways that you can improve heart health.

  1. Diet: These can include eating five or more servings of fruit and vegetables a day, consuming six or more servings of whole grains a day and eating fish at least twice a week. A little effort can go a long way; simply adopting a healthy diet can greatly improve your heart's health.
  2. Exercise: Exercising can greatly improve your heart health. Begin with a regimen that you can stick to, it will make a lot of difference. For instance, using a push lawnmower instead of a riding lawnmower, and raking instead of using a blower, are great ways to get a little exercise. Take a short walk before breakfast or after dinner. Start by walking ten minutes and gradually walk a little longer every day.
  3. Heart Heath Supplements: Take control of your heart heath with cardiovascular health products. Through the use of heart supplements and heart vitamins it will help cleanse the veins and arteries, increasing blood flow and improve your heart health greatly.
  4. Stress, anxiety, frustration, anger play an important in your heart’s health: If your stress levels increases, so does your cardiovascular risk. Breathe slowly and deeply, meditate or talk to family and friends.  Learn to manage these emotions by making lifestyle changes that will benefit you.
  5. Avoid smoking, drinking alcohol, and taking recreational drugs. Cigarette smoking combined with a family history of heart disease also seems to greatly increase the risk. Cigarette smoking is the most important risk factor for heart disease in young men.

Eat right, exercise, don’t smoke, and talk to your doctor about any health concerns you have or any symptoms you notice.
