Herbs For Premature Ejaculation
Trying to find herbs for premature ejaculation is a bit of a crap shoot: there are plenty of tinctures, wraps, teas and pills out there, but which ones actually work? Moreover, which of these touted herbs for premature ejaculation are safe to take? Although most are sold as either the latest medical breakthrough or an old Chinese herbal cure that “they” (usually the FDA) doesn’t want you to know about, there is a good bit of danger in indiscriminately mixing and matching herbal concoctions. That being said, there is a good bit of real medical science that supports the use of some herbs for premature ejaculation.
- Ingest Asian ginseng to maintain an erection. Experts suggest that 900 mg of concentrated Asian ginseng should be ingested twice or even three times a day to help a man maintain his erection.
- Apply clove oil to avoid premature ejaculation. The topical application of isolated clove oil to the penis has not actually been tested on humans. Instead, ingestion by rats has shown a marked difference in sexual behavior of the animals. There has been a body of research that used a cream containing cloves among other herbs for premature ejaculation. Draw your own conclusions whether or not cloves are your answer.
- Take Indian ginseng (a.k.a. winter cherry) to increase sexual vitality. Its mix of aphrodisiac and sedative properties makes it a coveted herbal pill to take. Remember that the plant is a member of the nightshade family and proceed with caution!
- Drink extract of wild yam to enhance genital sensitivity. There is little in the literature on herbs for premature ejaculation that would consider the wild yam to be dangerous. Even so, be cautious when first taking this herb until you know how it affects you.
Remember that the biggest selling point related to herbs for premature ejaculation is also its biggest weakness, they do not need a prescription. Thus, it is anyone’s guess if the herbs work. But never take any herbal supplements without first consulting a doctor!
