Hide Advertising On Top Of MySpace

If you want to know how to remove the advertising on top of MySpace, you do not need how to program. In some cases, you just need to use the right browser. A more cynical person may ask why you are still using MySpace instead of Facebook. For now, you just need to use Adblock to remove advertising on any page.

You will need:

  • Computer
  • Internet
  • Adblock Add-On
  1. Do a search to find the Adblock Add-On. The Mozilla foundation makes it available from their depository of Firefox applications. Internet Explorer users need to download the add-on directly from its site. Firefox users can install the add-on directly from the browser. People using Safari, Chrome,  or Internet Explorer run the application.
  2. Turn on Ad-Block.  If you go to sites where you want to see advertising, you will need to white list the sites you want to accept advertising from. If you want to donate to the person who writes the code, you can find this option in the menu as well.
  3.  Go to Myspace. With Adblock, you will see no advertising on the site. The add-on gets rid of those annoying pop-ups as well.   Not every web master appreciates people who use programs that block ads. Some scripting languages allow a webmaster to block people who use Adblock from viewing their sites.

Tip:

  • If you use Firefox, you can disable the ads through an add-on called "Noscript."  "Noscript" does not automatically block ads. The programmers intend it to block scripts that can harm your computer from running.
