Hide Details On MySpace

Learning how to hide details on Myspace can be a great way to keep the publicity of Myspace while having the privacy that you desire. Just because you have friends on your Myspace profile doesn’t mean that you want each and every one of them to see the intimate details of your life that your privileged, closer friends and family are given access to. There are a couple of ways to hide certain details on your Myspace page so you can keep certain parts of your life private.

  1. Make your Myspace a friend’s-only page. With a public profile, anyone, with or without Myspace accounts, can view your public profile. This can be scary for both users and family members of users. To eliminate this issue, consider making your profile accessible to friends-only. To do this, go to the account options and simply change your profile from a public account to a private account.
  2. Set age limits. Another way to set your privacy limits with your Myspace account is to set age limits for users who can view your account and add you to their very own Myspace profile. If you’re an older user and aren’t interested in having a correspondence with younger users, than this is an excellent option for you to consider. In contrast, if you’re a younger user and don’t want to have any correspondences with an older user, than this is also a perfect option for you.
  3. Use the private messaging and IM system. Another way to hide intimate details about your lifestyle, friends, and family, is to use the private messaging and IM system to communicate intimate details about your life. This will allow you to a have a private conversation with your real friends, versus having a public conversation for the world to see.
