Hide Url On MySpace
MySpace always has an endless amount of things that users can do on it, this includes learning how to hide a URL on MySpace. Sometimes you may want to do unique things while you are on MySpace and one of these things includes hiding the URL. MySpace is a social networking site that allows people to communicate with there friends and share pictures and other interesting things. Here are a few steps that will make it a little easier for you to learn to hide the URL on MySpace.
To hide the URL on MySpace, you will need:
- A computer with a high speed internet connection
- A MySpace account
- Determine whether or not you have MySpace 2.0 or 1.0. You will be able to tell the difference since the layout for MySpace 2.0 looks different than that used for MySpace 1.0. There are two different codes for each version.
- If you want to use the code for MySpace 2.0 then you will have to upgrade your account. You can do this by logging onto your MySpace account and clicking on where it says "edit profile." There you should see a little box that reads "Profile 2.0: The new profile is here!....." In addition, there should also be a link that says "try it out." Click on that option to switch to MySpace 2.0
- For MySpace 1.0, insert the code "<style type="text/css">.userProfileURL { display:none; }</style>" into the "about me" section of your profile. For MySpace 2.0 insert the code ".urlLink { display: none; }" into the "CSS section" that can be found under where it says "Customize profile."
Both codes should work and should now hide your URL on MySpace.
