If you're looking to find some of the best hip hop music videos ever made, then this group of music videos is sure to point you in the right direction. It's safe to say that many elements in hip hop music videos have been played out, such is the case with most of today's hip hop videos, they're all more or less the same thing. There are a few diamonds in the rough though, but the majority of the greatness came mostly with hip hop music videos of the past.

  1. "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down" by Puff Daddy featuring Mase. Perhaps one of the best hip hop music videos ever made, "Can't Nobody Hold Me Down" was the breakout debut single for Puff Daddy (now known as Diddy) back in the late 90's. This high profile hip hop music video features Puffy and Mase rapping in a bentley as they drive across the desert then they blow it up as they walk away from it, the scenes shatters like glass as we're introduced to an all-white room and then a futuristic indoor stadium of sorts where the dynamic duo don jerseys that are respectively numbered 1 and 2.
  2. "Vivrant Thing" by Q-Tip. Directed by the music video master himself, Hype Williams, "Vivrant Thing" is an epicly-filmed black and white extravaganza is one of the best hip hop music videos ever made. It features tons of fish-eye lens shots and plenty of big booty girls to keep your interest piqued for the entire duration of the song.
  3. "Can I Get A..." by Jay-Z featuring Ja Rule and Amil-ion. Featured off of the "Rush Hour" motion picture soundtrack, Jay-Z's "Can I Get A..." is one of his most iconic songs and one of the best hip hop music videos ever conceived. The video features the trio of rappers performing in a bar setting with clips of the movie sprinkled throughout it.
  4. "Paranoid" by Kanye West featuring Mr. Hudson. Kanye West's "Paranoid" music video is like a hellish nightmare in of itself. It's dark, brooding, and completely disturbing. Quite possibly one of the most inventive and best hip hop music videos, "Paranoid" takes a trip into Rihanna's mind as she has a nightmare in which she becomes possessed.
  5. "Tha Crossroads" by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. When it comes to hip hop music videos, nothing is more mesmerizing than the classic that is "Tha Crossroads" by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony. The video is dedicated to those who have passed away whom were close to the group members, it features a plot in which a reaper-like character collects the souls of those who are marked for death.
