History Of Apple Inc

The history of Apple Inc has demonstrated the journey that has been taken. Over the years Apple has become one of the biggest computer and electronics companies, with a number of devices that are instantly recognizable (such as the popular iPod). Early years. Named Apple Computer Inc for its first 30 years, Apple was founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. The hand-built Apple 1 personal computer kit launched the company with regard to its first computer design. Toward the end of the 1970s, Apple had accrued a great deal of capital and possessed a full production line.

Subsequent decades. In 1984 the Macintosh was launched, market by a famous commercial in Super Bowl XVIII. Initially selling well, the Macintosh was aided with the presence of LaserWriter and PageMaker. Next was the Macintosh Portable in 1989 and the PowerBook in 1991, which were responsible for pioneering the modern laptop. The latter was greatly aided by System 7, the basis for Mac OS until 2001. Apple was able to compete with Windows throughout these years, notably allying with IBM and Motorola in the 1990s.

Recent Years. In the last decade or two Apple has continued to provide breakthroughs. A number of media-based (video, music composition, etc.) software titles were launched in the late 1990s and 2000s. The iPod and subsequent iTunes store – which had over 5 billion downloads in 5 years – were seen in the early 2000s.  The decision to produce Intel-based Mac computers in 2006 was another important milestone. In more recent years other products from Apple have accounted for the company's success, such as the iPhone and iPad.
