Here is a history of Calvin Klein. Calvin Klein is a name known all around the world. When you hear the words Calvin Klein the first thing that comes to mind is perfume, clothes and fashion. There are many things behind the name that you do not know, that we are going to investigate.
On November 19, 1942 fashion designer Calvin Klein was born in Bronx, New York. Klein carried out a most normal childhood. As an adolescent he enjoyed sketching, designing, and sewing clothing as a hobby. As Klein grew he studied at The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, and graduated in 1962. Calvin Klein first became popular for his design in suits and coats, but soon became more noted on sports apparel, particularly interchangeable sports apparel.
Calvin Klein has made many accomplishments in his life, but perhaps his biggest, and one of the biggest for any fashion designer, was winning three Coty awards in a row from 1973 to 1975. He was also the youngest designer ever to be elected for the Coty award for making “ready to wear” clothing. Klein’s ad for his fragrance Obsession also garnered him a lot of media attention for being considered racy, but today it is one of his most popular fragrances.
Currently, Calvin Klein is still very popular amongst Americans for his designing of clothing, bedding and especially perfume. Klein is still designing beautiful yet not over the top designs, and producing new fragrances as the years come and go.
