These are some of the best holiday parks in Wales. Wales, though small, is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. It boasts incredible scenery, hundreds of castles, ghost stories, great food, and plenty of things to do. There is also hiking, horseback riding, swimming, boating, and anything else you can imagine. It’s a great place for a holiday vacation, not just because of what you can do but because of its size. Because of its size and the public transportation, it’s easy to get around the entire country and to get to the holiday parks in Wales. There are two major holiday parks in Wales, both located in the South of Wales.
- Trecco Bay – One of the largest holiday parks in Wales, Trecco Bay is located near the Bristol Channel and the city of Porthcawl. It boasts lodges and homes that can be rented or even bought in some cases. It has excellent beaches, an adventure play area, multiple sport court, and a twelve hole golf course. There’s an indoor pool, jungle gyms, and an afterhours entertainment bar called The Showbar. It also boasts a great restaurant called Coast Bar and Kitchen, delicious Costa coffee, Chicago Town Pizza, Timeout Bar, Bay View Fish and Chips, Funtasia Diner, and Prego’s Pizzeria & Ice Cream Parlor.
- Pendine Sands – Located in Camarthenshire in South Wales, Pendine Sands is one of the best holiday parks in Wales. Not only does it play host to beautiful beaches and coastline but it also has the lush green countryside Wales is known for. There are plenty of rooms or homes to rent. There are plenty of outdoor play areas, nature trails, gold, horseback riding, fishing, places for outdoor picnics, and swimming pools. It has great restaurants including The Venue, The Duck Inn, Fish & Chip Shop, and the Barnacles Beachside Café. It even has a mini supermarket and a Tricks, Treats & Sweets shop. It’s one of the best holiday parks in Wales. Fun fact, Pendine Sands is where the first land speed record was set in 1924.
