How To Activate Javascript On The Internet Browser

It only takes a few steps to learn how to activate javascript on the Internet browser. In this article you will learn how to activate javascript on both a PC and a Mac using Internet Explorer, Firefox or Safari.

To activate Javascript in Internet Explorer on a PC:

  1. Click on Tools at the top of the screen.  Click on Internet Options.
  2. Click on the Security tab. Select the Internet icon.
  3. Click on Custom Level. Find the Scripting close to the bottom of the list.
  4. Click Enable under Active Scripting. Click OK.
  5. A confirmation box will open. You need to answer yes.
  6. Click OK to close the Options window. Close out of Internet Explorer and open it up again. Javascript is now enabled.

To activate javascript on the Firefox Browser on a PC:

  1. Click Tools at the top of the screen. Click Options from the drop down menu.
  2. Click on the Content tab at the top of the window. Check Enable Javascript checkbox.
  3. Click OK to close the options window. Close the Firefox browser and reopen it. Javascript is now enabled.

To activate javascript on the Firefox Browser on a Mac:

  1. From the Apple bar at the top of the screen click on Firefox. From the drop down menu click on Preferences.
  2. Click the Security tab at the top of the window. Check the Enable Javascript box under Web Content.
  3. Close the Options window. Close Firefox and reopen. Javascript is now enabled.

To activate javascript on the Safari Browser on a PC

  1. Click on Edit at the top of the window. Select Preferences.
  2. Click on the Security tab at the top of the window. Check the Enable Javascript check box and close the window.
  3. Close and reopen the Safari browser. Javascript is now enabled.

To activate javascript on the Safari Browser on a Mac

  1. Click on the Safari menu from the Apple bar at the top of the window. Select Preferences from the drop down menu. Click on the Content tab at the top of the window.
  2. Check Enable Javascript. Close the window.
  3. Close and reopen the Safari browser. Javascript is now enabled.
