How To Add Maps To Star Wars Battlefront 2

When it comes to "Star Wars" video games, "Star Wars Battlefront 2" is one of the best, but if you want to get more gameplay out of your game, you might want to figure out how to add maps to Star Wars Battlefront 2. Even without any new maps, "Battlefront 2" offers one of the best experiences of any "Star Wars" game in recent memory. One of the reasons it is so great is because of the attention to detail that the game's maps have. Every map looks, feels and sounds like a living and breathing part of the "Star Wars" universe. The modding community picked up on this as well, and many high quality maps have been made and released by amateur modders. All you need in order to play these maps is a copy of "Star Wars Battlefront 2" for the PC, an internet connection, and WinRAR or WinZIP.

  1. Find your maps. There are many places on the internet that you can go to in order to download "Star Wars Battlefront 2" maps. A quick internet search or two should provide you with a host of great sites. The best is arguably the "Star Wars Battlefront" site hosted at Filefront.com. When you find a site you like, start to browse the maps. The odds are that if there is a location in the "Star War"s universe that you want to play, someone has made it. Whatever your preference is, find a map that represents it and then download it. Some of the files can be quite large so make sure you have enough space.
  2. Installation. When it is finished downloading, double click the file. It will most likely be a .ZIP or .RAR file and will open in the appropriate program. Inside the file you should see a folder called DATA.
  3. Open up the folder that you originally installed "Battlefront 2" to; it should be something like 'C:/Program Files/Lucas Arts/Star Wars Battlefront 2.' In this folder, you should see a folder identically titled DATA as well. You want to drag the contents of the DATA file that you downloaded into the directory that is already installed. It may ask you to overwrite information, so answer yes.

Now all you have to do is open up the game and play it! When you go to the map selection screen, your freshly installed "Star Wars Battlefront 2" map should be there waiting!
