Not quite sure how to adjust BMW headlights? Then print out this article and head to your BMW. All you are going to need to adjust your headlights is a cross point screwdriver, your keys, and about twenty minutes.

  1. The first step in adjusting your BMW headlights is to get into the car and pop the hood. After you pop the hood locate the headlight adjustment screws. They are on the top and the inside edge (towards the center of the vehicle) of the headlight.  Now go back inside the car and turn the headlights on.
  2. The second step in adjusting your BMW headlights is to take out your screwdriver and turn the adjustment screw on top of the headlight to adjust the vertical pitch of the housing and the headlight beam. Turning the screw clockwise will raise the beam and turning the screw counterclockwise will lower the beam.
  3. The final step in adjusting your BMW headlights is to turn the screw on the inside edge of the headlight to adjust the headlights horizontally. Turn the screw clockwise to adjust the headlight beam to the right or counterclockwise to adjust the beam to the left. Congratulations you have now finish adjusting your BMW headlights.

You'll want to adjust your BMW headlight beam so that the lights shine below the eye of oncoming traffic for most passenger vehicles. Make sure the horizontal adjustment favors the right for both headlights without compromising your ability to see the road. Remember safety is the most important thing.
