How To Advertise On Twitter

Twitter is the best up and coming marketing tool if you know how to use it right, so we will explain how to advertise on Twitter.

  1. Set up a Twitter Account. You first need to sign up for twitter. Create a username that reflects who you are and what you want to promote.
  2. Start Following. If you search for people you think will be interested in what you have to advertise on Twitter, follow their Twitter pages.
  3. Start Connecting. You cannot just follow people and expect them to follow you back and click on your links unless you create a relationship with them. Read their tweets and comment on what they have to say, and they will usually return the favor. Then they will see what you have to advertise on Twitter.
  4. Do not post your links over and over again. Just posting a link to advertise on Twitter is going to mean nothing to someone who stumbles across your tweet. At the very least, include a description of the link in your tweet, and try to make it sound real and not like a selling point. Sometimes you can tweet without postsing a link. It will be less annoying and people will more likely follow you if you have something of substance to say. Focus on why your product can benefit someone, and that is a great advertisement on Twitter without using a link.
  5. Backlink. If you write articles on content websites about Twitter, backlink to your page. This way, if someone clicks on the link they will be lead straight to the page that allows them to follow you. Backlinking also makes you more searchable to search engines, creating more viewers of your tweets.
  6. Link with Facebook. Link your tweets to facebook so that when you update a tweet, it becomes your facebook status as well.
  7. Take a Break. Make sure you are not constantly advertising on Twitter. It's okay to take a break, we don't want to annoy the world with our enthusiasm!
