Keeping a good pace while out on the course can make learning how to arrange golf clubs in your bag an important aspect of the game.  Not only will you be able to confidently select your club from your bag with each shot, but the group playing behind you will thank you for your efficiency.

  1. Make use of the bag organizer. Many newer bags come with built-in organizers that make arranging golf clubs a breeze. Place the clubs in however you feel comfortable. For example, you can put all irons in the bottom section of the bag, all wedges and putter in the middle section, and all woods in the top section.
  2. Avoid extraneous organization tools. It may seem like a good idea to get the tubes that hold each individual club in the bag, but it can be a pain to remove clubs from them. The grips on the bottom of the clubs easily grip the tube and the entire tube is pulled out along with the club  You may think you are arranging your clubs efficiently, but it can be more time consuming than beneficial.
  3. Work with what you have. If you are sporting an older bag that doesn't include an interior organization, you can still arrange your golf clubs. Keep your most used clubs on the top of the other clubs. This will avoid having to move ten other clubs every time you want to get your driver out.
  4. Arrange golf clubs by yardage. Arranging your clubs by the distance you hit them makes it easy to know exactly where the club is when you need them.

Arranging your golf clubs neatly and efficiently not only speeds up the game, but also helps protect the rather large investment you made with your golf clubs.
