It just adds a special touch and makes the moment more intimate.

Just be sure that you take your time and really think this part through.
4. Ask her parents. While it seems to be that no one is this traditional anymore, asking for her father's permission or blessing is something that might get you pretty far with the in-laws. It gives them some advanced notice on what is going on and let's them know that you take them seriously. Remember, they have spent a lot of time and care raising her.
5. Just ask her. When it comes down to it, if you are sure that she shares your feelings, just go ahead and ask a girl to marry you.
