A very common question that many people ask is how to avoid speeding tickets. Sure, there is an obvious way to avoid speeding tickets, which is always drive at or below the speed limit. However, there are many times when people become pressed for time and are looking to speed up a trip to get somewhere just a few minutes quicker. Let's discuss some of the other ways to avoid speeding tickets, besides driving below the speed limit. After all, most people probably already knew that driving the speed limit would help avoid speeding tickets.

  1. One of the best ways to avoid speeding tickets is by driving in a pack of other cars that are driving slightly above the speed limit. If there are three or more cars driving above the speed limit, a police officer is unable to pull over all of the cars in the pack. If they do pull someone over, there is still a good chance it will be someone else in the pack of cars that are speeding.
  2. Another way to avoid speeding tickets is to go less than ten miles per hour over the speed limit. Many times, police officers are not looking for people that are just barely over the speed limit. Someone going 88 miles per hour in a 65 mile per hour zone is very likely to get pulled over and given a ticket.
  3. Having an out-of-state license plate is a way to get a speeding ticket quicker. If trying to avoid a speeding ticket, having an in-state license plate makes it much less likely to get a speeding ticket.

These are some ways to avoid speeding tickets, but like stated earlier in the article, the best way to avoid a speeding ticket is to abide by all traffic laws and speed limits. This article in no way condones speeding.
