Knowing how to open a bank account with no credit check is unfortunately necessary for some people.  With the economy bouncing up and down, many Americans find themselves with less than stellar credit.  Bank accounts are necessary for many of the financial business most people deal with on a day to day.  As most people know, most banks will not open give you a checking account without a credit check.  The easiest way to get around that is to open a savings account.

  1. Gather all personal information.  To open a bank account with no credit check, you will need to gather documents proving who you are.  Those documents can include a driver's license or identification card, social security card, passport, or voter's registration card.  Most financial institutions will require a photo ID to open a bank account.
  2. Research financial institutions.  Although you may be eager to open a bank account with no credit check at this point, you need to research the banks in your area.  By researching a bank, you can determine whether you meet the requirements for opening a bank account at a particular institution.
  3. Choose a method to apply for a bank account.  Many banks offer the opportunity to apply for a bank account with no credit check online.  You can also call the customer  service number for the bank you chose and request a paper application.  If the bank you wish to apply to is local, you can also go the bank and apply for a bank account.
  4. Fill out the application.  Whether you opt to go to the bank, apply online, or fill out the paper application, you have to enter in your information.  You will also be asked to provide copies of your identification to have the application processed.  Once you have filled out the application for the bank account, submit it.

It is important to be perfectly honest when opening a bank account, even if there is no credit check.  The information you provide should be accurate and verifiable.
