How To Barefoot Water Ski
Learning how to barefoot water ski is simple and fun to do. If you can water ski already, then you should be able to learn how to barefoot water ski in about a day. Just make sure you are in good shape or you will be wasting your time trying to water ski barefoot. It is basically the same concept as regular water skiing, but since you do not have the water skis helping you, your body has to have the muscle to hold you up.
To barefoot water ski, you will need:
- A boom
- A boat
- A life jacket (Make sure you are wearing this at all times)
- The first step to learning how to barefoot water ski is to get out on that lake. Hop on the boat and get out to the middle of the lake. If you're at a big lake, just be far enough away that you can swim to shore if you really need to. Now get off the boat and into the water, and start out floating on your back.

The second step when water skiing barefoot is to bend your knees. Point your knees back and spin your left hip. Now, with your knees together, spread your feet apart, and slowly start to get up.
- The third and final part of barefoot water skiing is enjoying yourself. Water ski like you would normally do, as if you were wearing your skis. Just make sure you're not going too fast; after all, you just learned how to water ski barefoot, and as some of you will notice, it is a lot harder than regular water skiing.
