How To Be Charming

Once you learn how to be charming, you'll find that you go through life much happier and much more likely to attract and seduce members of the opposite sex. Being charming is a little tricky in this day and age, with changing ideas about how men and women should relate. However, if you follow these tips, you shouldn't have a problem.

  1. Understand what it means to "be charming." To be charming is to be gracious and considerate. A charming person has class and gives more than he takes. He is also courteous, mature, and considerate. People like to be around charming men, and know that they can be trusted.

  2. Think before you speak. One of the easiest ways to learn how to be charming is to take a moment to consider your words before you release them into the world. Ask yourself if you're contributing something useful to the conversation, and make sure that your words won't hurt anyone. A charming person doesn't hog the conversation, but instead inserts witty and classy comments at just the right moment. And of course, don't interrupt if you can help it.

  3. Actions can say a lot. Use your actions as a way to communicate how charming you are. Since a charming person acts for others and not for himself, don't just hold the door open when you see an attractive girl. Hold the door open whenever your service is needed. Smiling, making good eye contact, and shaking hands firmly are all ways to act in a charming manner.

  4. Be generous. Nothing shows people that you know how to be charming quite like being generous. Buy a meal for your friends, parents, or coworkers. Donate time or resources to a charitable cause. Don't go beyond your means, but give as much as you comfortably can.

  5. Be gracious. A charming person doesn't use his words or actions to promote himself or make himself look good. When someone compliments you, accept the complement, but point out the good qualities of other people at the same time.

  6. Don't lose your cool. The quickest way to demonstrate that you aren't charming is to lose your cool. No matter what happens, don't take out your anger on people or things, no matter how deserving they might be. No one likes a person who fakes being charming and then shows his true nature to be the complete opposite.
