How To Become A Fighter Jet Pilot

So, you want to learn how to become a fighter jet pilot? This is a very tough task because of the strict requirements you must complete to fly a fighter jet. However, you can complete the process and learn how to fly a fighter jet.

1. Formal Education. Graduate from high school or get a GED. Get a four year college degree. Apply for acceptance into the Marines, Navy, or Air Force and complete basic training.
   
2. Read and study as much information as you can. Interview fighter jet pilots in the Marines, Navy, or Air Force and ask them how they became a fighter jet pilot. Take notes and follow their advice to help you get started.
3. Enroll into an office training program. Stay in good physical shape because you will have to be able to sit and fit into the cockpit comfortably. Select aviation as your career field and complete your commission.
4. Prepare to go to flight school. Complete your military flight school training. Make the decision to fly fighter jets for the military after completion of your military flight school training and receive a military pilot’s license.
5.  Complete Euro-Nato joint jet pilot training (ENJJPT) or Joint Specialized undergraduate pilot training (JSUPT). ENJJPT is located in Sheppard AFB, TX and the course lasts for 54 weeks and you must past this course to become a fighter jet pilot. Competition is fierce so be prepared to work hard so that you can become a fighter jet pilot.
