To block websites on Firefox, you will need:
- Internet access
- A Computer
- BlockSite Add-on
- Go to the Firefox add-on page. The Firefox add-on page is an archive of all the add-ons available for the program. To get the the add-on page, open Firefox, go to the "Tools" tab and click on "Add-ons." From here, click on "browse all add-ons."
- Finding the right program. There are probably a few different add-ons that will block websites on Firefox. To save time, just search for "BlockSite." BlockSite is one of the best add-ons for blocking websites that Firefox has available. Simply click on the "add to Firefox" button associated with BlockSite, download the file and restart Firefox.
- Blocking sites. Blocking websites on Firefox is very easy with BlockSite. All you need to do is go to the "Tools" tab, click on "add-ons," go down to BlockSite and click on "preferences." In preferences, you will see an "add" button. Clicking on this will bring up a URL box; just type the name of the website to be blocked in this area. Press enter and the site will be blocked from Firefox. If you want, you can also set a password so people can not change the blocked websites easily. In preferences, just click on "enable authentification" and put in your desired information.
