- Obtain a legal hunting license. Register at you local hunting store to make sure that your license is legal. Be sure to follow the laws carefully in the way that they are specifically outlined. This can help to prevent you from going against any laws or regulations.
- Choose a good hunting location. Make sure that the hunting location meets your hunting needs. Determine if any kind of permission may be needed to hunt in a particular area. Some locations are privately owned while some are open to the public. If you do find a location that is privately owned you may be able to get permission from the landowners to bow hunt on their land. Also, make sure you hunt within the right hunting season.
- Always keep your equipment clean. Keeping hunting equipment as clean as possible and in good working condition gives you a better chance of success as a bow hunter.
