How To Bowl Fast
If you are a reasonably good bowler then the only thing stopping you from becoming great may be that you do not know how to bowl fast. Increasing the speed at which your bowling ball travels can create a crisper, and cleaner strike once it comes into contact with the pins. The techniques you use right before you release the bowling ball from your hand has a lot to do with how fast the bowling ball will end up going once it leaves your fingers. Here are a few strategies that you can use to learn how to bowl fast.
- Form is one of the deciding factors in determining the speed at which your bowling ball will travel. Make sure that before you release the ball to tuck in your opposite arm. This will help to create a balance in your body and prevent any errors as you release the ball. Once the ball leaves your hand you have to follow through. Let your arm go through the first and final motion, your arm should follow the ball as it leaves your arm. This will help to give the ball the speed it needs.
- Take an extra step. You may find that an extra step is what you need to gather up enough momentum to get the ball going fast. Taking an extra step may seem awkward and weird at first, but if you practice using it enough it will quickly become second nature to you. Avoid using stutter steps as this can cause a huge problem once it comes time for you to release the ball. Stutter steps put your body off balance and create problems with your form.
