How to Breathe When Running

Learning how to breathe when running is an easy step in exercising. You just need to learn how to stick to it. The instant you do not breathe correctly when running is the instant that it is tough to breathe at all. Breathing correctly is a step in the right direction when you are getting back into the gym, so listen up.

  1. To learn how to breathe correctly, you need to understand why you need to breathe the way you do when you are running or exercising. To breathe correctly, you need to breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. This way you can run longer and have the endurance to keep running. It is important to most people when they go for a run or the gym that they get the best exercise they can for that period time.
  2. The reason you breathe this way is it gives you the ability to control the amount of air that enters your lungs. When you exhale though your mouth, it gives you that extra push to continue. This has been studied for several years. You will notice when you breathe the way you normally do when you exercise (in and out of your nose), you have shorter breath and you can’t contain your heart beat.

Learning how to breathe when running is not the tough part, its actually doing it that takes time to get used to. If your breathe the right way, you will have higher endurance. Good Luck!
