Are you looking to build a wood fence so that you can protect your garden or real estate property? Some people build wood fences around their homes to protect small vegetable gardens they plan to maintain for many years. Thankfully, the simple steps below show you how to build a wood fence with just wooden materials.

To build a wood fence, you need:

  • plywood, 4 tall sticks (4 feet each)
  • nails
  • hammer
  • concrete
  1. Gather plywood to build a wood fence. Use the best plywoods that are made with spruces for building fences if you live in a place that has a very mild temperature. If you gather large sizes of plywood for building a fence, you will be able to aid your plans within a few days.
  2. Form the sides of your wooden fence. If you want to build a wood fence, erect four stands with plywoods rectangularly and vertically on a firm base. This base should be be flat and rectangular in shape so that the poles can be affixed to the right areas.
  3. Join the stands together by nailing more than one full 1/4x4x4 plywoods to them. You will be able to use nails that are made with steel for building your fence. The full plywoods will cover the spaces that are left open by the stands you place inside a very firm surface so they must be very solid.
  4. Lift up your plywood panels and bind them to the four stands to block all spaces that are left by them. You will not be able to build a wood fence without joining wooden materials together with strong nails. Use a hammer for joining the wooden materials together. Basically, if you can use concrete to hold four strong sticks together, then you will be able to setup a nice foundation for erecting a wooden fence.
  5. Make the poles or stands at five feet high. Also, make sure that the full plywoods have the same height as the stands but increase their widths wisely. Bind the full 1/4x4x4 plywood panels to the four stands through using nails. There are many types of nails you can use for accomplishing this work so visit the right shop and purchase the right ones. Use 1-5/8 hardened steel nails for binding the plywood panels to the poles and you will be able to setup a nice fence. Always use common sense to leave at least three feet of space in between one of the widths of your fence so that you can guard it with a door.
