Some components you may need to connect to your TV are DVD and DVR players, game consoles, cable box and camera. Your TV should also include connections for High Definition-Multimedia Interface (HDMI) which supports most forms of digital and audio connections. Keep an eye out for USB port connections for flash drives and music if you need that feature.
- Overall impression. What type of vibe are you getting from the television? Does the TV stand more compared to the others? Play around with the remote control to get its general feel and how it works. Look at the programs and set up the HD television offers. Does it have everything you are looking for? Make sure you are fully satisfied with the TV and it is a TV that you wouldn't mind using over the next few years.

Make sure you look into purchasing a warranty if you feel you might need one. You will need to purchase a stand if the television is going to be on ground level and not mounted on a wall.
