Figuring out how to buy luggage for your girlfriend can be a tricky ordeal. Many women expect their men to read their minds, and they won't accept any luggage less than perfect. When you buy luggage for your girlfriend you will have to get outside of your own male mind frame. That's right, it time to be begin thinking like a woman. This shouldn't be as hard as it sounds, as long as you keep a few crucial considerations in mind.

  1. Don't go for anything less than average size. Never underestimate how much clothes, beauty products and shoes a woman will want to pack for a trip. It doesn't matter how much your girlfriend loves the luggage you pick out, if she can't fit everything in it, she's going to want a different bag. Imagine how much you would pack for a week's vacation. Double that. If the luggage can still fit everything and then some, it has passed the size test.
  2. The more pockets and zippers, the better. When you buy luggage for your girlfriend, remember that women like organization. They carry a lot of tiny objects and products that will fit much more neatly in a well-sectioned piece of luggage. She will delight in exploring and organizing until her heart's content if you buy luggage for your girlfriend with lots to explore.
  3. Definitely get some wheels. Keep in mind that your girlfriend's luggage will inevitably be heavier than yours, and if she doesn't feel like carrying it, you're going to be the one hauling through the airport or up the hotel stairs. Wheels are possibly the most important feature to look for when you buy luggage for your girlfriend. Your back depends on it.
  4. Get acquainted with your girlfriend's taste and style. You might find the perfect luggage, but if your girlfriend finds it unfashionable it will be back to the drawing board. Pay attention to her purses, shoes and home decor. Take note if she likes bright colors, pastels or earth tones. Choosing the right style when you buy luggage for your girlfriend could mean the difference between a lukewarm "thanks" and an enthusiastic "It's perfect, I love it!"
