Need to know how to buy mixed martial arts shorts? There are all sorts of different brands of mixed martial arts shorts, many of which have their own specific pros and cons. Below you will find a few helpful tips that will help you make a decision when buying mixed martial arts shorts.

  1. Be careful shopping online when you are looking to purchase mixed martial arts (or MMA) shorts. The internet has incredible deals on name brand mixed martial arts shorts, but if the price seems too good to be true, more than likely it is. If you are saving just a few dollars, then more than likely you can trust the seller, but if you come across an expensive pair of MMA shorts, it is more than likely that they are counterfeit.
  2. Buy a pair of MMA shorts that you like. There are many styles and colors to choose from, and a lot of your decision will come down to personal taste. If you are a striker, Maui Tai shorts are your best option so your legs are not restricted. If you are a grappler, spandex shorts are your best option as they are harder to grab and easier to slide in while grappling.
  3. Know your size. If possible, try the shorts on in any available fitting rooms within the store. You do not want to purchase the wrong size, as it could effect your training, and fights.
  4. Look for mixed marital arts shorts in local sporting goods stores. You can also find mixed martial arts shorts in MMA stores or at MMA gyms.
  5. Make sure the shorts are not used. You want a nice, sturdy pair. Don't be afraid to spend a little money on a higher quality pair, but you do not have to put yourself in debt over a pair of shorts.
