Skateboard trucks are made for different purposes, such as grinding, light-weight boarding, heavy-weight boarding, or just for cruising. 1. Local Skateboard Shop. Most cities have local skateboard shops that sell trucks for skateboards. Prices vary anywhere from $10 to $65 or higher. The price of the trucks you purchase will be based on the intended use of the trucks as well as the brand. A brand that is popular will, in most cases, cost more than an average set of trucks.
2. Online. There are lots of online sites nowadays that sell new or used items. You can buy skateboard trucks from  local sellers using sites like Craigslist. These can be either used or new so verifying with the seller is recommended. It's important to note that using online classifieds will limit your selection. Other sites such as Amazon provide a wide range of merchandise and can offer the customer a better selection. These sites can be a little more pricey and can also involve a shipping and handling charge.
3. Yard/Garage Sales. Check out your neighborhood yard or garage sales. These type of sales are typically held early in the morning on the weekends. Skateboard trucks are not guaranteed to be sold at these sales, however, it is a possibility. You may be able to find skateboard trucks for cheap prices at yard or garage sales. Yard and/or garage sales tend to sell items which have been used and are no longer wanted or needed. If you are looking for a bargain, this is a good place to start.
