Learning how to call a deer is a skill that can be hard to master, but with the great invention of certain tools it can be a reality for the novice caller.   Depending on what kind of deer you want to call, your caller should be tailored to what you are hunting.  With a little bit of practice, you should be able to attract deer using these different kinds of callers.  The only thing you will need to have in your possession is a deer call.

  1. Purchase a deer call.  You can buy these from any place that sells hunting equipment and supplies. Make sure that you buy whatever call you are going to need for the deer you want to hunt.
  2. Learning how to call is key.  The age of the deer and the sex is a huge part in the success of your hunt.
  3. The best way to get experience is to actually go out to the area where you will be hunting in.
  4. Do a few practice calls and see if you can attract any deer.
  5. Your location is very important along with your safety.  Proper hunting gear should be worn so that you are protected.
  6. When blowing through the call, do it in short blasts to replicate the calls of an actual deer.
  7. Do this step every ten to fifteen minutes to give it a chance to work.

By following some of these steps, you should be able to get the game you wanted all along.  Patience will be key and your persistence in doing the calls over and over again will be a great factor in your mounting success of being a deer hunter.
