How To Cater An Event For Your Boss
Knowing how to cater an event for your boss can really get you some brownie points, and perhaps even enhance your career. There are some steps to take when going about the process, as many things should be considered when hosting an event for the boss.
- First, depending on the type of event, find out what your boss likes. Learn his or her interests, hobbies, and of course, favorite foods and drinks. Knowing all of this information will help you to plan the perfect event.
- Next, select a location, if that is an option. If the even will not take place at your home or at work, maybe think about a golf course, a bowling alley, or somewhere else that directly aligns with his or her interests or hobbies. Once the location is determined, you may go about setting up the actual catering.
- If you are planning on running everything yourself, you will need supplies to make great food, and, depending on the size of the event, perhaps some help. Enlist others, preferably coworkers, and cook food the day of the event. Be sure to have enough seats, tables, plates, silverware, and other items such as napkins to serve all who are expected to attend. also make sure to stock plenty of beverages.
- If not cooking yourself, hire a catering company that can accommodate your boss' eating and drinking preferences. Shop around to find the right price, and make sure that any company you are considering has a great track record, and no problem catering on location if the event is taking places somewhere special.
Catering an event for your boss can be a daunting task, but as long as the location, food, and drink involved are up to his or her standards, you are in the clear.
