How To Celebrate Earth Day

With Earth Day being a fairly new holiday many people wonder how to celebrate Earth Day. Earth Day is a day that was designated in 1970 to increase awareness and appreciation of the Earth's environment. There are many things one can do to celebrate this holiday on April 22. Let's learn how to celebrate Earth Day, make the Earth a better place to live, and have fun doing it.

  1. Recycle plastic bottles, glass, newspaper, and cardboard. Basically, any product that has the the recycle arrows placed on it is recyclable. Find these products that are no longer needed and take them to the local recycling center.
  2. Use energy more efficiently. This is  a cheap and simple way to learn how to celebrate Earth Day. Just simply changing the filter on the furnace can help make it work more efficiently and save energy. Try switching the light bulbs in the house to energy saving light bulbs, this is a great way to save energy and to save money.
  3.  Plant some trees. Make the Earth's environment a better place to live by planting some trees, this will have a lasting effect on the earth and it also makes a great memory that will last forever.
  4. Go have fun at an Earth Day Celebration. Many communities will be having special celebrations to celebrate Earth Day. Some even have week long festivals in honor of Earth Day, with lots of booths and with on site activities. A week long festival will surely show how to Celebrate Earth day in a fun way.
