  1. Go to the administrative control. The first step is to click on the start menu located in the left corner of your screen. Go to Control Panel> Administrative Tools. Apple support says that sometimes "Administrative Tools" won't be visible. In this event you will need to click on the link, "Switch to Classic View."
  2. Manage your data storage. After you are in the Administrative Tools window, select Computer Management. You can either right click or double click Computer Management, to open. You should now see three columns. Focus on the column on the far left. Computer Management should be highlighted.
  3. Change drive on your iPod Nano. In the left column, select Disk Management. Disk Management is located under Storage. If you do note see Disk Management, click on the arrow next to Storage. You should now see your iPod. After selecting your iPod, click Change Drive Letter and Paths.
  4. Confirm the change to your iPod Nano. To confirm that you want to change the drive on your iPod Nano, browse and select the new drive. You can also manually enter a letter. Once you have done this, click "ok." You will then be prompted with a dialogue box asking you to confirm the change. Select "Confirm."
