  1. Evaluate your computer. In order to change the language in Stronghold Crusader Extreme, you will first need to make sure that your computer meets the basic requirements. In most cases, gamers will need a computer that features Windows 98/XP/Vista, a 300 MHz processor, 64 MB of RAM, a 850 MB hard drive, 8x CD-ROm drive, 4 MB graphics card, and 56 kbp/s modem.
  2. Place the Stronghold Crusader Extreme CD in the CD-ROM of the computer. Click on the icon titled "my computer," and select the CD-ROM drive. This last step is only necessary if you have not enabled auto-run.
  3. Click the tab titled "install." At this point, you will be able to select the language that you want the program to run in. Do so, and click "OK."
  4. Begin you begin the game of Stronghold Crusader Extreme, and check to make sure that it is now showing the language of your choice. If the language has not been set properly, start over from step one, and carefully follow the instructions for Stronghold Crusader Extreme.
