- Computer
- Latest version of itunes
- USB cord compatible with your iPod Nano
- Plug your iPod Nano into your computer. Unfortunately, you will not be able to change the name on your iPod Nano manually. You must use the USB cord to connect it to your computer.

Open iTunes. If you do not have itunes, you will need to download it. This should only take a couple minutes. If you already have itunes and your iPod is connected, you should see the iPod icon on the menu on the left of itunes. If you do not see your iPod nano, you need to download the latest version of itunes. You can do this by going to Store>Check for Available Downloads.

Select your iPod. Once you have located your iPod Nano on the left menu bar, you can click on the iPod icon. The iPod icon should show up under "devices." Double-click on the iPod icon.
