The best oil that comes is “Mobil-1”, available in different grades. Now it depends on the owner, but he can do it himself if he wants to change it himself to save some money. Many follow this procedure but are not advised because the angle in which the car remains after lifting leaves some old oil inside the crank case. Besides, this is also not a very safe method to follow.
- The best move towards is to set the car on a lift by the help of the metal rise. - At least, a container of ten quarts is needed and is advisable that by the help of oil recovering container one has to take out the old oil out of it for disposal.
- At the base of the engine at the center there is an 8mm Allen bolt which is the drain outlet. After draining out the old oil, discard the worn out filter. This needs an oil filter wrench which is about 74 mm to it’s flat part. Open the screw of the oil filter on the left side of the back of the engine. Change that with a fresh one with a sealing O-ring.
Finally, after putting new oil into it, check with a dipping stick to measure the level and confirm there is no leak.
