How To Change Sim Card On iPhone

It is good to know how to change a SIM card on an iPhone. It will enable you to use your SIM card in someone else's phone or for someone else to use their SIM card in your phone. A SIM card stores all of your personal information. With a SIM card you able to store your contacts information as well as personal settings. SIM cards are transferable from phone to phone and depending on your wireless carrier will determine what phone you can use your SIM card with. It is very easy to change a SIM card on an iPhone.

To change the SIM card on an iPhone you need:

  • iPhone
  • paper clip
  1. Locate the SIM card holder. There are three ports located on the top of your phone and one of those is where your SIM card is stored. The SIM card holder is the longer oval slot that is located right in the middle between the headphone jack and the power button.   
  2. Open the slot. Unfold a paper clip and insert one end into the little hole on the SIM card holder. Once you insert the paper clip carefully push down until the slot pops up and out of place. Then, remove the tray from your iPhone that is holding the SIM card.
  3. Remove the SIM card. Simply, pop your SIM card out of the tray from the iPhone. This tray is made so that it forces you to put the replacement SIM card in the proper way.
  4. Insert the replacement SIM card. Replace the SIM card back into the tray. Reinsert the tray with the new SIM card back into your iPhone. Slide the tray all the way down back into place.
