How To Change Trackball Color On Blackberry Pearl

Learning how to change the color of the trackball on your Blackberry Pearl depends on which Blackberry Pearl you own. This article will show you how to change the color on a Blackberry Pearl 8100. You are not able to change the color of the trackball on the other Pearl models.

1. First we will learn how to change the trackball color on a Blackberry Pearl 8100.  Go to Google and search for Color Pearl and download to your computer. This software is completely free.
2. You will need to unzip the files on your computer. Install the Color Pearl application that will change the trackball color on your Blackberry Pearl.
3. Connect your Blackberry Pearl to your computer and open the BlackBerry Desktop Manager. If you do not have this software a CD came with your Blackberry Pearl, or you can go to the Blackberry main site and download it.
4. Double click on Application Loader. Click Next.
5. Next we are going to add the Color Pearl application to your Blackberry Pearl. When you click on Application Loader look for Color Pearl in the list, and check the checkbox next to the application name.
6. If the application does not appear in the list click Add. Double click the application installer and install Color Pearl.
7. Once you finish installing Color Pearl to your Blackberry Pearl click on the icon. Go by the instructions on your screen to change the trackball color.

You should now have five different colors to choose from for the trackball on your Blackberry Pearl. Hopefully soon there will be a way to change the trackball color on the other Pearl models.
